Riverside Park's tennis courts sit along the Hudson River on Manhattan's Upper West Side, split between two public clusters — clay courts near 96th Street and hard courts near 119th Street. It's a classic NYC park tennis scene: open to anyone, busy on weekends, and a great option if you're staying nearby and want a proper outdoor game.

Courts & conditions

Two locations: 10 outdoor red clay courts at 96th Street, and 10 outdoor hard courts at 119th Street/Morningside Heights. Lessons are offered on-site through the Riverside Tennis Association.

Good to know

Play with a day pass ($15, purchased on arrival, valid that day only) or a full-season NYC Parks permit (Adult $100, Senior $20, Junior $10). Two courts can be booked online up to a week in advance; otherwise it's walk-up. Tennis season runs April 1 to the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Book and find details via riversidetennis.org.
