Tucked into the heart of Central Park near 96th Street, this is New York City's largest public tennis facility — 26 clay courts and 4 hard courts run by NYC Parks. It's classic park tennis: unpretentious, busy, and social, with courts available to anyone on a walk-in or reservation basis right in the middle of Manhattan's most famous green space.

26 outdoor Har-Tru clay courts and 4 outdoor hard courts, all run by NYC Parks.

Good to know

Courts can be used walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis, or reserved in advance online for $15 per court per hour. Season permits are also sold ($100 adult, $20 senior, $10 junior), plus single-visit tickets ($15 cash / $16 card). Open daily roughly 6:30 AM–7:00 PM during the tennis season, which runs from early April to the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Call (212) 316-0800 or book via centralparktenniscenter.com.
