About the venue

A public outdoor tennis court tucked into Shiba Park in central Minato, just steps from Shiba-koen Station and within easy reach of Akabanebashi, Hamamatsucho and Tamachi. The big draw is the view — several courts look straight at Tokyo Tower, and playing under the night lights with the tower lit up behind the fence is a real Tokyo moment.

Three outdoor artificial-turf (omni-style) courts with night lighting until 21:00. Reviewers note the surface is patchy in places from repeated resurfacing, with some worn spots, though most say it's fine for recreational play. Court 1 is the pick for a Tokyo Tower view, especially striking once the lights are on for the last time slot.

Before you go

Register at the park service center with ID before using the courts; people living outside Tokyo may also register. The courts are across a road from the park, and there is no on-site parking.
