Gunn Tennis Courts are behind Henry M. Gunn High School in Palo Alto, near redwoods. Public play is walk-in and first-come, first-served; individual private reservations are not offered.

On court

Seven outdoor hard courts, split into a six-court section and a separate single court. There are no lights, so play is limited to daylight hours. One reviewer described the courts as having a noticeable slope, though still well maintained. Benches sit at either end of the six-court section, with bleachers just outside the fence.

Before you go

Courts are open for public walk-in, first-come-first-served play; they are not available for individual reservation for private use such as lessons. There's a large parking lot on site, but the high school restrooms aren't always open. Note that Palo Alto Unified School District took over direct management of these courts from the City of Palo Alto in November 2025, so current booking or fee details may have changed since.
