About

Bitter Lake Playfield is a laid-back neighborhood park in North Seattle, with four outdoor concrete courts set among ball fields and a wading pool. The lines double for pickleball, so you'll share the space with paddle players, and there's a dedicated parking lot for anyone driving over.

Courts & conditions

Four outdoor concrete (hard court) courts, lighted seasonally (March–October) and striped for both tennis and pickleball. The courts were resurfaced in 2020.

Good to know

Courts are free on a walk-in basis when not reserved, or bookable through Amy Yee Tennis Center for $15/hour. The park gate is open 4am–11:30pm. There's no paddle-stacking system in place, so come with a full group of 2 or 4 — courts can fill up at peak times. Free on-site parking is available, and private lessons can be arranged.
