Community hard courts in Brooklyn's McCarren Park, revived by a volunteer association after years of disrepair. The courts host summer ladder leagues, tournaments, and free youth clinics, making this a lively neighborhood hub for park tennis.

Courts & conditions

Seven hard courts sit in the park — bubbled and rentable during the indoor season (the day after Columbus Day through April 27), and open outdoors to Parks permit holders the rest of the year. Courts 5 and 6 have LED lighting for night play.

Good to know

Sign up in person with the court attendant during staffed hours, or reserve Courts 5 & 6 online up to 7 days ahead for $15/hour. When no attendant is on duty, courts are first-come, first-served. Lessons and free youth clinics are offered.
