A guide to playing tennis
Taoyuan’s free courts are mostly public parks spread across the city’s districts. Many allow walk-in play, with hard courts the usual surface and some lit options for evenings. One free hotel court is guest-restricted, so use the public-park listings when open access is the priority.

Taoyuan City
桃園市立中壢網球場
Public municipal tennis court located within Guangming Park, managed by the Taoyuan City Department of Sports. A long-established public tennis facility in central Zhongli.
中路運動公園網球場
Public sports park managed by the Taoyuan City Department of Sports. Opened March 2020 on a ~20,930 sqm site that also includes a soccer field. This is the home base of the Taoyuan City Tennis Association (TYTA). One of the city's main public tennis venues.
陽明運動公園網球場
Public tennis center within Yangming Sports Park, the largest sports park in Taoyuan District (~7.88 hectares). The courts have over 25 years of history and were renovated around 2021 (resurfaced, new lighting, improved drainage). Park also has basketball, skating rink, lawns and water-play features.
龍潭運動公園網球場
Free outdoor tennis courts within Longtan Sports Park in Longtan District, Taoyuan City. The park is a popular community recreational area with athletics facilities, and the tennis courts benefit from evening lighting — making them usable well into the night.
楊梅網球場
A pair of public outdoor clay courts in Yangmei District, Taoyuan, originally built in 1981 and comprehensively renovated in 2023 at a cost of NT$13 million. Managed by the Yangmei District Office in cooperation with the Yangmei Tennis Association, the courts feature restored red clay surface, new lighting, drainage, irrigation, restrooms, and surveillance — making them one of the better-maintained free public clay venues in the region.
龜山第一運動公園網球場
A public neighbourhood sports park at the intersection of Wenhua 2nd Road and Guishan 1st Road in Guishan District, Taoyuan City. The park hosts tennis courts alongside basketball courts, an inline-skating rink, and bocce courts.
大園區籃網球場
A free public outdoor facility in Dayuan District, Taoyuan, managed by the Dayuan District Office, offering a combined basketball and tennis court area. The courts were fully renovated in 2025 with new surfacing, fencing, lighting, and equipment at a cost of NT$8.63 million. A neighbourhood staple for daily exercisers.
中壢區中山公園網球場（內壢）
A small public park tennis court tucked inside Zhongshan Park in the Neili residential area of Zhongli. The park is a mature, tree-shaded neighbourhood green space developed for local residents and industrial-zone workers. The court is a free, walk-in facility suited to casual hitting sessions.
