ActiveSG Tennis Courts in Singapore

Yes, you must book, and you cannot walk in. ActiveSG, run by Sport Singapore, lists 11 public tennis centres across Singapore, and every slot is booked on its MyActiveSG+ platform. You need a Singpass account and a valid mobile number to sign up. Foreigners who live in Singapore and have Singpass can book. Tourists and visitors without Singpass cannot book facilities. They can play only as part of a booking made by a Singpass holder, who must be at the court and play. Peak hours are Monday to Friday 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. All peak slots are balloted: you can enter the ballot from 12 midnight 14 days before the date until 11:59 p.m. that day, and results come by SMS by 12 noon the next day; if you win, pay by 11:59 p.m. that same day to keep the slot. Non-peak slots (Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding public holidays) and any unassigned peak slots open 12 days ahead from 12 noon, first come first served. Each slot is one hour, and you can book two slots a day. A court costs S$3.50 off-peak and S$9.50 at peak for Singapore Citizens and PRs, or S$4.60 and S$12.40 at the Standard Rate, per hour. The person who booked must be at the court and play, and ActiveSG makes random checks. Once confirmed, a booking cannot be cancelled or changed. ActiveSG will consider a written request with proof for illness or a similar case, but not for a change of mind. If rain cancels your booking and you did not use the court, ActiveSG refunds it, typically within 5 working days. Most centres open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Check each centre's page for its own hours and closures.
