An indoor tennis school in Setagaya, just a minute's walk from the station, open early morning to late night daily. It's mainly a coaching operation with a warm, friendly community feel — reviewers repeatedly praise the coaches' attentive, upbeat teaching and the easy scheduling for makeup lessons.

Courts & conditions

Two indoor carpet courts, air-conditioned and gentle on knees and joints. Ceilings run low (a common trade-off with indoor Tokyo facilities), but reviewers say it doesn't get in the way of play — weather, heat or cold never stop a session here.

Good to know

Free racket rental and shoe rental (¥330) mean you can show up hands-free. Lockers are free to use, though there is no shower room on site. A pro shop stocks major brands including Toalson, Prince, Wilson, Head, Babolat, Yonex, Bridgestone and Dunlop. Trial sessions for beginners are open to outside visitors, not just enrolled students.
