A big, green public park in Nerima with plenty of shade and open lawns, popular with joggers, families and picnickers as much as tennis players. Its 8 outdoor courts make it an easy, low-key spot to book a game without needing club membership, and there are shops and cafes nearby for afterwards.

Courts & conditions

8 outdoor artificial-turf tennis courts sit within Hikarigaoka Park, plus a separate set of 8 concrete-floored practice walls for solo hitting. Courts have night lighting, with play possible up until closing around 21:00, and the park itself stays open around the clock.

Good to know

Courts can be booked online, by phone, or in person; registration is open to residents from outside Tokyo too. Court rental is JPY1,300 per court per hour, plus a JPY500/hour night-lighting fee. Payment accepts cash, credit card, e-money, QR code, or online prepayment. On-site amenities include parking, restrooms, showers and lockers.
