About
A well-kept, city-run tennis court tucked inside leafy Inokashira Park, near the Ghibli Museum and easy walking distance from Kichijoji. Popular with local players and weekday morning regulars, it offers a clean, green setting that reviewers consistently praise for its upkeep.
Courts & conditions
Eight sand-filled artificial-grass courts sit within Inokashira Park, plus an on-site hitting wall for solo practice. Courts have no floodlights, so play is limited to daylight hours, and lockers, showers and parking are on site.
Good to know
Reservations are required in advance through the Tokyo metropolitan park sports reservation system, and courts cost ¥1,300 per hour. Anyone from junior-high age up may use the courts — Tokyo residency is not required — but note that tennis school groups can book up heavily, making it harder for individuals to secure a slot.
