A public tennis center in Golden Gate Park, run by Lifetime Activities under contract with the City of San Francisco. With 16 courts plus mini courts, it's a lively spot for everyone from beginners taking their first lesson to club-level players, and reviewers praise the friendly staff and recently renovated courts.

16 lighted outdoor hard courts plus 4 lighted multi-use mini courts for mini tennis and family play. Courts are open daily 7:00am–10:00pm (one official page lists 8:00am start, so double-check on arrival).

This is a public facility with no membership required, but a per-hour fee applies and reservations are recommended — book online or by phone. San Francisco residents can book 8 days ahead. On-site amenities include a pro shop with stringing and rental racquets, ball machine rental, showers, and grab-and-go food and coffee. Free 3–4 hour street parking is available.
