About

Balboa Tennis Center is a busy public court complex in Encino, San Fernando Valley, run by LA Parks & Recreation. Sixteen lit outdoor courts make it one of the larger public tennis spots in the area, drawing everyone from casual weekday players to weekend regulars. Pickleball courts share the grounds too.

Courts & conditions

The center has 16 outdoor courts, all lit for play into the evening (lights run until around 9pm on weekdays).

Good to know

Pricing is mixed: weekday mornings and evenings are pay-to-play (around $8-12/hour), while weekday midday (12pm-5pm) is free to the public. Weekends and holidays run $12/hour all day. A pro shop on-site offers coaching, and courts can be reserved online or walked in for at the booth.
