A long-running private tennis club tucked into La Cañada Flintridge near Pasadena, run by the Tamborini family since it opened in 1977. Thirteen courts and a social, welcoming membership community make it a local favorite -- staff even help match players up with hitting partners, and there's a pro shop plus indoor and outdoor seating to hang out after a match.

Courts & conditions

13 courts on site, all fitted with new 2025 LED lighting -- the club says it's about four times brighter than the previous setup -- so evening play is well lit.

Good to know

Book online through the club's site. Members can reserve up to a month ahead; non-members up to a week ahead. Individual membership is $250/month ($500 one-time initiation), couples/family $350/month ($750 initiation). Non-members can join clinics and private lessons at a higher rate than members (e.g. clinics $45/hr non-member vs $35/hr member). On-site amenities include a pro shop, a racquet stringer, and locker rooms with showers.
