A historic private tennis club perched on a rooftop in the heart of Manhattan, founded in 1954 by tennis champions Sidney Wood and Don Budge. It has hosted countless tennis legends over the decades, and today it pairs its courts with indoor dining, an outdoor terrace, a gym, and locker rooms with sauna and steam rooms for members.

Courts & conditions

Three rooftop courts: two outdoor Har-Tru clay courts with state-of-the-art lighting, plus an all-weather ClayTech (artificial clay) court, also outdoors.

Good to know

Membership required to play, with sponsorship from two existing members and approval from the Admissions Committee. USPTA-certified pros offer private lessons, group coaching, and match scheduling; reach the club by phone to inquire.
