Four outdoor tennis courts inside Homestead Park, an 11-acre green space on Mercer Island near Seattle. The courts share the grounds with a playground and a basketball hoop, making it an easy stop for families as well as players looking for a casual game. Morning sessions are the pick, since the sun swings onto the courts later in the day.

Courts & conditions

4 outdoor courts, open daily 6:00 AM–10:00 PM. No floodlights, so play is limited to daylight hours. Two courts can be reserved in advance (up to 2 hours per group/instructor per day); the rest are first-come, first-served.

Good to know

Book online through the City of Mercer Island's reservation portal, or just show up and play if a court is free. Rates are $12.50 per 30 minutes or $25 per hour. On-site amenities include restrooms, drinking water and parking. Contact Mercer Island Parks & Recreation at (206) 275-7609.
