Access: Open to the public
Reservations: A court costs $16 per hour for adults (1 hour minimum). Reserve at least 24 hours ahead; same-day reservations are not allowed. Book online with an ActiveNet account, by phone at (206) 684-4764, or in person at Amy Yee Tennis Center. Seattle Parks keeps at least one court at each site for open play. Courts that are not reserved are first come, first served, and a reservation has priority. The fee schedule lists fees for reservations only.

About the venue

Brighton Playfield is a public Seattle park court just north of Aki Kurose Middle School in the Rainier Valley area, with two outdoor courts shared between tennis and pickleball. It's a casual spot for a quick match rather than a polished club, set among a playground and ballfields in a laid-back neighborhood park.

On court

Two outdoor concrete hard courts, first built in the early 1930s and recently resurfaced. The courts also carry permanent lines for four pickleball courts laid directly over the tennis lines, and some cracking has been noted on the surface.

Before you go

Street parking is available nearby. Pickleball is very popular here and can take priority over tennis on the shared courts, so finding an open court isn't always guaranteed.
