Shore Road Park is a big, scenic waterfront park in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, with sweeping views of the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge and the harbor. Tucked inside is Shore Road Playground's public tennis facility — a solid pick for a laid-back match with a view, alongside the park's trails, ball fields and picnic areas.

Courts & conditions

Four outdoor hard courts, public and open-air with no floodlights, so play is limited to daylight hours. Lessons are offered on-site.

Courts are run by NYC Parks — players need a valid tennis permit or single-play ticket, bookable through the NYC Parks online reservation system.
