About

A no-frills municipal tennis ground tucked along the Arakawa riverbank in Koto Ward, popular with local players but open to visitors from outside the ward as well. The fenced omni courts stay clean and well-kept, making this a relaxed, budget-friendly option for a daytime match by the river.

Courts & conditions

Public riverside courts run by Koto Ward on the Arakawa embankment, open to non-residents too. Seven outdoor artificial-grass (sand-filled omni) courts, with fencing that keeps the wind manageable at court level though lobs can drift above it. There are no floodlights, so play is daytime only.

Good to know

Non-residents must first register in person at the Koto Sports Net counter before booking online; residents get priority in the lottery/reservation system, but outsiders can apply through the system for any remaining slots up to the day of use. Court rental runs about 950 yen per hour on weekdays and 1,500 yen on weekends/holidays (per court, historical rate). On-site facilities include changing rooms, showers, sinks and toilets, but there is no parking. The courts are closed on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (or the next day if a holiday), over New Year (Dec 31–Jan 3), and during ground maintenance periods.
