About
Ariake Coliseum is Tokyo's iconic multi-purpose arena in Koto, best known as the home of the Japan Open, Toray Pan Pacific Open, Davis Cup and other international tennis tournaments. Beyond its tournament fame, the venue also hosts volleyball, basketball and boxing events under its distinctive retractable roof.
Courts & conditions
Ariake Coliseum's tennis court is a single indoor hard court, housed in the arena's enclosed retractable-roof structure so play continues regardless of weather. Court usage requires a minimum booking of two hours.
Good to know
Bookings are accepted by phone only. Weekday daytime court hire runs ¥10,000/hour, rising to ¥13,500/hour in the evening, with weekend and holiday rates of ¥12,000 and ¥16,000; all bookings require a minimum of two hours. Note that general public tennis-only bookings are periodically suspended while the Coliseum hosts international tournaments, sporting events or maintenance, so it's worth checking availability before planning a visit. On-site parking and wheelchair-accessible seating are available.
