About the venue

A municipal outdoor tennis ground in Matsubara City, Osaka, tucked into the Yamatokawa-nishi sports grounds. It's a no-frills, community court best suited to residents, workers, or students in the city rather than passing visitors, with one reviewer praising the well-kept grass surrounds and a beautiful sunset view over the courts.

On court

Two outdoor hard courts at a public sports ground in Matsubara City. There are no floodlights, so play is limited to daylight hours, and one reviewer noted the court surface has some rough, irregular patches.

Before you go

Matsubara City says the tennis nets were removed after heavy rain on 8 September 2026 and gives no restoration date. Confirm that the court is playable before traveling. Usage is free, but restricted to Matsubara City residents, workers, or students (or groups where at least 70% qualify) — advance user registration and reservation are required. Bookings are made through the city's online reservation system, or by calling the roads and greenery division (072-334-1550) if booking within 3 days of use. Parking is only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
