Hermon Park is a large, well-loved community park near downtown Los Angeles, with 11 free public tennis courts tucked among open fields, shade trees, a pool, playground and dog park. It's a relaxed, family-friendly spot where locals come to walk, play and hang out — reviewers call it beautiful and safe even after dark.

Play is free with no booking system — just show up and wait your turn. Parking is available in a lot and on the street. Group and private lessons, including drill and Liveball classes, are offered on-site through LA Tennis for those who want coaching.
