A quiet municipal tennis court tucked into a residential neighborhood in Chofu, Tokyo — reviewers call it a bit of a hidden gem, though the approach through the surrounding streets can be tricky to find on foot. It's a simple, no-frills spot for a low-cost hit, popular with locals for both tennis and soft tennis.

コートの状況

Three independent outdoor courts, each enclosed on all sides by chain-link fencing: two sand-filled artificial turf courts and one clay court. Reviewers describe the turf courts as well-kept, while the clay court can play unevenly (sloping slightly away from the net) and closes after rain. A changing room is on site but there are no coin lockers or showers, and a tap is available beside the office.

知っておきたいこと

Advance individual registration with the city is required before booking, and courts must be reserved and paid for at the management office on arrival (present your user card at the counter). Rates differ for Chofu city residents versus non-residents, with clay courts cheaper than the artificial turf courts. Free on-site parking is limited to one space per court.
