About the venue

TiB 1848’s tennis department occupies the northern part of the club grounds. Its outdoor courts, own hall and practice wall provide playing and training options for eligible members, with changing facilities in the old clubhouse and a tennis clubhouse for breaks.

On court

The tennis department has seven outdoor clay courts, a separate two-court hall described as clay with TENNIS-FORCE® HS II Hydroslide, and an artificial-grass practice wall. A change to the outdoor surface is planned; completion is unconfirmed. Lighting is confirmed for the department hall; outdoor lighting is unconfirmed. The main club’s separate two-court carpet hall is outside this department’s court totals.

Before you go

Department courts use eBuSy online reservations. Outdoor guests must play with a member; the member may play with guests up to three times per season for €15 per court-hour, subject to availability and member-booking priority, with bookings entered no more than two hours ahead. The department hall is available to active members of all TiB departments in summer (7 April–30 September), and only tennis-department members in winter (1 October–6 April). New memberships are generally closed, with a special admission process for qualifying first-team players. The separate Sportzentrum carpet hall has its own access, GotCourts booking, prices and hours. The postal address is the club arrival address; the northern tennis ground is also accessible from Lilienthalstraße.
