The tennis courts at HKU's Stanley Ho Sports Centre in Sandy Bay sit within a large university sports complex on Hong Kong Island, alongside pitches and pools used by students, staff and the wider HKU community. It's a spacious, green setting geared toward campus sport rather than a commercial club — good for those affiliated with the university looking for a proper outdoor game.

Courts & conditions

Six outdoor hard courts, floodlit for evening play until 22:30. The centre is open daily from 06:30, and a floodlight fee applies for sessions booked after 18:30.

Good to know

Access is tiered by membership category — HKU students, staff, and affiliated community/alumni members can book online, by phone, or in person, with walk-in use available if the booking system is down. Guests accompanying a member pay a per-head hourly fee. Facilities include parking, changing rooms, lockers and equipment rental, and coaching is available.
